If you're wondering about me, the woman behind got baby!...I've been
a designer for almost twenty years now and currently manage a Web & Marketing Communications department for a software
company in Ohio. got baby! was started for fun -- as a way to be silly and creative on the side. It's grown from there. Plus, I get to
involve my kids and make them custom items and make cool things
for family and friends. I have had an absolute BLAST making all of these designs -- I hope you
enjoy my/our designs, too!
Besides designing and chasing after three kids, I enjoy many hobbies and interests with my
wonderful, loving, supportive hubby. So many of my designs are based on my life experiences
or interests or those of my family [e.g. they hubby loves sailing, so all those sailing designs were
inspired by him!].
New designs are always being added, so please keep checking back.
I've got tons of ideas, and I can't wait to add them
to my sites. And don't forget I do custom work, too!
so, why was got baby! started?
Nicholas, my sweet baby, was born in 2006, and
my life has been forever changed. I am also lucky enough to be step mom to two
beautiful, loving girls. The Soccer Queen and My Sister
Did It! designs were inspired by the girls. We use Cafepress.com to design special
Christmas gifts for their teachers and for school functions, too.
The girls are both promising artists, full of creative ideas.
The older one keeps asking me when we'll be setting up HER shop on Cafepress!
So, how did all of this start? For fun, at first. My Cafepress.com site contained only
a few designs, but those designs started to sell....and, so I added more. And those
sold. And I added more. And so on and so on. I continue to have lots of fun making
my baby and maternity designs, but I'm starting to make regular sales, so that must
mean that others are also enjoying the designs, too!
Ultimately, I would like to work on my maternity and baby designs full time while keeping my son
at home and out of daycare....poor thing had pink eye his first week and has been bit five times! But that
reality is probably a little way off! In the meantime, we have fun with our designs
and as they say in Finding Nemo, we "just keep swimming, just keep swimming...."
